Gorgeous, both of them! But Softy is an exceptionally beautiful little guy. Congrats on the eggs! I hope all goes well with them. What is your setup for keeping birds and eggs warm enough during winter? I know you move them into their winter lodging, but do you keep that building heated, or use space heaters, or what?

I used heat lamps last year but don't plan on using them this year.

How cold will it get inside your budgies' winter home? As cold as it does outside.

I wish I could bring Pepper outside still, but I'm really not sure what is "too" cold---but then I see BB's birds doing fine so I'm wondering if it'll be the "shock" in temperature change that will hurt her.

Yes: Budgiebonker's birds adjust to the temperature as the seasons change. While I admit I would feel uncomfortable keeping my parrots outside in the cold, hers survive because there are no extreme changes.

Since its not like 80 one day and drops to below freezing they adapt and molt with the seasons.

The way these chicks are going they probably be dead in a week the parents arent feeding them think come spring Im gonna sell them all and call it quits im just wasting money feeding them since they don't sell. Thats if they don't die in the winter.

BB! I promise you, I wish I could buy some from you. Please don't sell your birds, they are so beautiful! Maybe look into shipping and how much that would cost?
