sounds like Mango is learning to talk. I taught Kyba to speak and apparently he taught Kylie to speak a few 3 word phrases he started with. keep it up

Mango is talking up a storm now! She says "Pretty Bird" clearly now and she is learning "I love you baby". I want her to learn her name too. That seems hard for her. She has also picked up my text tone on my phone! Its a whistle and I keep thinking I have a text and its Mango! lol!

I just got Mango on October 1st. I was told she was about 4 months old. Not exactly sure on that because it was just at a pet store not from a breeder. She began trying to talk just 2 weeks after bringing her home! I was trying to get a male bird and thought that I was getting one but after getting her home and looking closely I realized that I had purchased a beautiful hen. I wanted a boy for their talking ablity and i was told that it is very rare that a girl bird will talk so I worked extra hard with her and it wasnt long at all before she picked it up. She also picked up the textone whistle from phone and i think I am getting texts all day! Haha! I was also told that female birds are bossy and nippy at times. All of the other birds I have owned were males. I have only had Mango a short time but this is not true with her! She is the sweetest little budgie ever! =)

Kenny Mango would probably be bossy to another bird but she is sweet to me being an only bird! Now she did let me know one day in no uncertain terms that she had been out of her cage enough that day and it was bedtime. haha! That was they only time she ever lunged at my finger! lol!
