Here in Southern Oklahoma, we very rarely see snow. Maybe one powdered sugar dusting per winter. Christmas 2009 was wonderful, though! Christmas Eve morning it was unusually warm, near 70 degrees. Pretty depressing for Christmas for a girl born and raised in the north, but what can you do? My family was walking thru our neighborhood, delivering Christmas goodies to the neighbors, and one of the neighbor ladies said it was supposed to start snowing pretty soon. Uhhhh, I don't think so. Nice thought, though! Well, within four hours or so, the temp dropped dramatically and it started snowing! It snowed furiously the balance of the afternoon and then as it started getting dark, tears of happiness just trickled down my face because it was sooooo incredibly beautiful, watching the snow fall on Christmas Eve as twilight came and the outside turned all lovely and Christmasy blue. Good grief! I'm gonna make myself cry again now, just remembering it.

Hey Santa, do you have a recipe for a nice soft fluffy white bread loaf? I can't find a recipe I like. It's either too hard and doughy or flavorless and light.

I love snow too Pammy! Thankfully Maryland has pretty severe seasons, and we usually get four or five good heavy snows a year up here in the mountains and lots of light dustings too

I remember, Jas, being ready to let the snow go when April would come and it was still snowing in northern Michigan, but NOW is the time of year when snow is so very welcome. It's snowing outside right now, big, fat, fluffy flakes, slowly fluttering down (but only in my imagination).

People keep saying we're suppose to get snow tomorrow...but it's warm (warm as in only a long sleeve shirt needed to stay warm) and rainy If that happens I'll probably scream and take pictures for everyone here to see.
