Wow, she had a stroke. But she isn't paralyzed? That is good. The poor thing. It sucks getting old. Thank you for keeping us updated. You are a good bird owner.

She can see now?? That's marvelous! I know this is a hard time for you and for Sunny. She is lucky to have a mama who loves and cares for her so much. Yup,I think what happen was,she blind first,then when she was sleeping she would have her head down. Then her poop smell bad. Then she had the stroke. Yes it is,and I will keep you all update. |

At least she knows you love her and what ever time she has left just make them the best days, weeks or years you can. Although not a bird, but my dog Lucy has had grand mal seizures and has other issues, but her tail wags so life is good. Love does a lot, if only to make each day special.

So Happy to hear this story. I love how much we all care about our birds and it it so tricky to catch a bird having health issues before we can take them to the vet so Sunny is a great example of a responsible bird parent. Birds usually camouflage their illness and most of us wake up to a dead bird on the bottom of their cage....the worst nightmare for all of us pet owners so kudos to tohru for taking good care of his teil! My teil is 16 and I hope he'll live aslong!!
