I just reread some post from when I first got Sweetie. It has just been 3 months since I got her. I was so green to birds and so lucky to have this calm bird to teach me. I received so much help, encouragement and knowledge from this forum. Thank you so much. Sarah of course in particular is a wealth of information. Not only Sarah are you helping us bird owners but more importantly the birds to be better understood and cared for. Emily you wrote such great comments and Lisamarie, Pammy and Diana are always there with encouragement. Thank you all and thank you to those I did not mention and everyone that makes this forum helpful and fun. I know for me my friends are not so interested in birds so this is the place to go and have our birdie discussions.

Thank you Roxhum. It has also been very helpful to me to hear your experiences with your birds. I think I remember you saying a couple of months ago that you weren't going to get another bird. Then, Pearl!

Yes, and then Pearl. That happened because my son took the noisy active budgies. My house was so quiet and I am at work all day 4 days a week and I just knew that sweetie had to be lonely. I was just so lucky that the same breeder had another tame adult bird who was already friends with sweetie. They get along perfectly and it hasn't changed my relationship with sweetie. I didn't/ don't want a baby for two reasons. 1-I can't imagine that this old bird wants to be stuck in a cage with a baby, and 2 I think I would be so enamoured by a baby that Sweetie would take a back seat. I want Sweetie to be # 1, I think she deserves that in her old age.
