Lisa, I've just got to see a video of Lucy enjoying the blow dryer.

Once a week was what I thought I should be doing although last night may have been longer than a week since her last bath. Pammy, I will have to get a video next time.. It's hard because I only have two arms!

I'm glad it's okay for her to give me company on the shower. I like to think of that as bonding time haha. I keep forgetting to try the shirt hanger as a swing for her.
I tried the blow dryer (lowest setting /temp) last week and she was NOT pleased.

I suppose it's odd for Lucy to enjoy it. I think it's because my house is probably cold and the hot air feels good

Some parrots absolutely love blow driers and others are afraid of them. I think it has a lot to do with the age it is first introduced and the level and pitch of noise the drier makes at their first experience. If it is a fairly quiet or low frequency sound, it's a lot more likely to go over well with a tiel. Although they are loud little beasties, they have sensitive ears which are hurt by high volume sounds or high pitched whines. You will know when a cockatiel is uncomfortable with a sound when they start shaking their head from side to side, as though they were trying to flick water out of their ears.

Apparently the best birds for me would be either a cockateil or small cockatoo
