Some. I can hold a normal everyday conversation. I haven't taken Spanish since high school (2 years ago) but the last course I took was college-level. I work with a lot of fluent speakers so while we are at work I try to talk to them so it's practice for me. At least until I can take another Spanish college course! I love learning about it

So out of curiosity, would you say it's more correct to pronounce it ver-day, or vare-day? Geez, now I want some yummy chicken verde!
Your little Verde is adorable! How kind of you brother!

Pammy it's vare-day! HahHa I couldn't think how to get the first part of the word other than "ver" but no you are right "vare" "day" would be the "english" way. If Spanish people say it it's ver day because they have the Spanish accent lol so much complications over one word! But Spanish is much easier than English...

It's funny to me that English-speaking North Americans wouldn't attempt to pronounce a Spanish word the way Spanish-speaking people say it. So, soooo many things just do not make sense.

Different alphabet, that's all! Spanish and English have the same letters except the Spanish alphabet has 2 that the English does not. Although they both have the same letters, we pronounce "a" as "ay" in Spanish it is "ah"
