Diana, I like the name silver! it is somehow elegant. I am so happy for you. Talking about the best of both worlds, flock interaction and a bird that wants your companionship, makes me miss my budgies. But then again, I have a tendency to overdo things and it is best to stick with the two fabulous cockatiels. They are not nearly as interesting to watch though. I visited the budgies at my sons house this weekend, they are having there first big moult. If I could find a hand fed budgie I would grab it.
Diana my birds, particularly the budgies, LOVED when I played music. I play the ukulele and the accordion. The budgies would stop and listen and with the accordion they would loudly sing along. I always feel like they were thinking, now she's talking, a language. I can relate too.
Pearl is doing the wolf whistle sound, it isn't exactly a whistle. I am so frustrated, I can't whistle. I need to find a recording to play for her. Clearly she learned that sound prior to living with me.
I have a young man that rents a room from me. sweetie flew into the kitchen and landed on his head and scared him. It was pretty hilarious. He says it sounds like the movie, oh I can't spell it, Juminka something with robin Williams from the 80's, inside my house.
Sorry, I got chatty
