I'm glad she's eating and drinking a lot. That seems like a good sign to me. Yes it is.I put Sunny to bed early, and she is sleeping. Meka and Olivia are being so quite for Sunny. After she lay the egg yesterday, she seem to be so much better. Have not heard her make the noise. I think she is happy with one egg. She goes down there to turn it. And that all she did today. She is happy and talk up a storm. I will keep you all update.

Maybe put a little low cardboard box with the hay and egg so it won't fall through again. Like a greeting card box or even a low basket.

It is dangerous for her to lay like this, but you really couldn't have done much to stop her. If you let her sit on it for a few weeks before taking it away, it should help her hormones to relax. I'm sure you are already covering her cage and feeding her right, but sometimes chronic egg layers just relapse.
I have to admit though, I'm glad she has something to occupy her and make her happy, even if it is only for a few weeks. Poor old girl.

April, maybe if you slip one or two of your fake eggs into her little pile, Sunny will decide she has enough eggs to care for, and may stop laying more.
