Maybe it's not a lot of money because of the actual quantity of the drug they actually use. It's a tiny needle in an insulin syringe. But it's still an office visit. (When's the last time a human could go visit a doctor and get charged only $22.00??) Interestingly, the vet mentioned that he tries to make local pet shops aware of his association with the animal hospital that he works for so they know that he is a specialist. He goes in occasionally to help train staff about different birds and their care . I told him I found him through his listing with a national avian veterinary association. I'm feeling lucky that he is less than 25 minutes away by car.

Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised at the reasonable charges! Of course going four times means 100 bucks.... I do hope poor Santino will finally stop laying eggs once and for all with the last shot and your vacation away from her.
