That's a wonderful story. Nice to read it again. thank you I enjoy telling it. the funny thing was right in the middle of typing it he wanted me to pick him up so I did he sat there for a few I put him on top of the monitor he walked side to side a few time then jumps down and has to follow my fingers for a few minutes. I end up having to type with one hand for a few minutes before he had enough went back to tossing his ball again. when I finished and stepped down he runs right at my feet and follows me until I picked him again. neither him or Kylie wanted to be put inside the cage, guess they knew they'd be stuck for 8hrs while I am work LOL. that's our daily routine play time tv time then I get cleaned up ready for work. Kyba has now turned into a spider monkey climbing on the walls and ceiling of his cage when I walk by or stop and look at them inside. he knows I will usually open it and get them out for a few or minutes and I have to chase them both on my arms and shoulders. Kyba has learned that its hard for me to reach him in the upper middle of my shoulder area lil turd likes to try and hang on there for a second or 2

hheheheh so I woke up early again around 6am maybe ah little earlier than that but either way it was way to early for me to start making to much noise and I woke Kyba up from his beauty sleep and he didn't like that asking me "hey buddy whats up budy and even gave me 1 what are you doing" of course I went back to my room for little more sleep too. Oh but he wasn't mad when I let them out at 8am though but he had an attitude with me when I got home and let them out he bite my finger good twice. I had to tell him no stop biting be nice a little stern and loud while he was on my finger. he wised up and knew I was not going to have any of that and was his climbing all over my chest n shoulders until I sat to watch tv and relax. he goes off tossing his ball then got nippy at my feet when I jumped on to my laptop. when I got off to get him OH they both wanted me to get off and give them a little attention. had me chasing them around the living room for a few minutes before they went to bed

thanks kmic hope you are as lucky with one or more of your budgies and get a bond as close as we are Hehe I wish. We've only reached the 'eating from your hand if we're hungry' stage so far (i.e. if I try to offer them seeds at about 12pm or around 4pm and they haven't yet gone to their cage to eat, they might decide to eat from my hand). Going anywhere close to them without food (or water) when they're not hungry will inevitably send them flying round the room.

heheheh I don't have to go to him I usually just call his name get his attention and tap my finger for a few and if he wants to he runs flies and jumps to me so fast its so cute. he he stays on the floor he always wants me to lean over or get up and pick him up. I feel so blessed and fortunate that both Kyba nd Kylie will let me pick either of them up with out having seed or some type of reward for them. its how I hand tamed them from the get go with out even knowing I was doing it. I just started having them step up on my hand and they did. now when they want to be held they just come to me. if I try and pick them up they just look at me or move away i'll try 1 2 more timws if still no I go set down evenyually kyba comes to me n we both go get kylie. every so often she will follow him over to me

That's so nice. I think my problem with training them has always been lack of time and the fact that I never had only one budgie - it's always been a minimum of two. I really wish some day they'll come to me, but don't have my hopes up, I'm currently just thrilled when they choose to eat from my hand rather than go to their cage or refuse to come close.

I finally got my desk and set it up yesterday, and these 2 didn't like having part of their play area taken up lol. though this morning Kyba did come out and ran right for me in my room. when I set him on top of the cage he just kept staring at my desk and chair. I know it'll take a few days for them to get use to it I find it funny how they react to new things or when I change things up on them lol Attachments:
