Here's the other, longer one I took just before the last one I posted. This one he's saying a ton of things: Pretty boy, good birdie, good bird, good boy Shasta, hello, pretty pretty, good boy.

It is wonderful that they are learning words as a pair, that is much harder to accomplish. Go you!

I just got home from an entire weekend at my parents' house, and they made the trip with me. Both picked up new words, one of which they seem to love to say is "stupid".... >.<

Lol, I have no idea where they picked up stupid. I don't say the word stupid.... But Shasta has started saying something that sounds like "mom" too.

Maybe, but I can't think back to when someone was around them and said the word stupid. As hilarious as it is, I'm not sure that's something I want them picking up.
I kinda wonder if they can hear the guy who lives above me. That guy stomps around his apartment and practically screams all his conversations.

I would make sure you never, ever use the word "stupid," and hopefully they will forget about it. Make a huge fuss over the words you like hearing them say, repeating them again and again in a happy voice.

Lol, I have to say things only a few times for Shasta to start using them, and Orion looks up to Shasta so much he says whatever Shasta says.
I just don't know what to teach him next. He says a lot of things already, and he's working on being able to say a few more things, but I can't tell what he's saying. He now says "Step up" whenever he steps up on my finger, and Orion does the same.
Any ideas on what I can teach him next?

'Please to meet you' / 'nice to meet you' would be a blast when he's showing off his skills to new people Really happy for you that they're getting so talkative and tame!

Maybe teach them to say something like "Goodnight, sweetheart" every time you put them to bed. It would be so fun to hear them say it back to you at night, wouldn't it?

Teach him some words from your favorite songs, and lines from your favorite movies
