When both Kyba n Kylie are flying circles chasing each other in the living room it's time. Especially when Kyba flies to me in my room and hovers at desk top Level for a second or two until I offer my hand to land on its definitely time to get trimmed.

Good luck with the trimming. thanks they are use to it i've been getting them trimmed like this since the beginning. they can stilll fly just not fly circles in my living room chasing each other in flight, or fly in to my room up to me at my desk and hover until I offer and landing spot LOL.

My Emma has not quite come to terms with her clipping. She's reluctant to fly at all now. She and Piper used to fly around the living room in tandem. It's funny that, now that Emma is not flying (except when something spooks her) the budgies have also stopped flying so much.

Hmm, that is interesting. I hope the budgies will soon resume their flying. I really miss seeing my budgies fly, but with ceiling fan season upon us, it's really not safe.

I dont have them fully clipped I only have the first 4 feathers trimmed back. they can still fly around but just as long and cant do circles in my living room. Kyba wont be able to fly to me in my room and land on my head no more. He can fly into my room and land safely on the floor. they both can only get about 3feet off the floor is as high as they will be able to fly up to.

I let mine fly around my apartment, and a few times they haven't been able to stop and ran straight into my head or my back. Luckily my hair is VERY thick so they have plenty of cushioning when they hit me in the head.

But after last night when he flew up to my shoulder twice while I was standing up in the kitchen its seriously time to trim them back again
