I took my boy(birdie) and his cage outside - opened the doors to replenish the water, and boom, my bird has escaped and is flying high with the wild birds... my heart is pounding -I am panicking - I watch as my birdie flys over our house squawking the whole time and lands in the high trees around our house... just as I see an eagle soar above us.... I grab his favourite ball from inside and my husband quietly calls him while rattling the ball - boom - 5 minutes he has landed on my hubby's shoulder and is safe in our home..... yip... never again! For a moment I thought about trimming his wings... but this was my mistake and stupidity...... So lucky!! I am thankful my bird is so tame and always comes to us when he is called....

Very lucky! I'm so glad he didn't become an eagle snack!
