I've been getting great daily updates on Spike. He's an awesome bird, loves attention, head scratches and running around. He's always extremely alert and they've never seen him sleep cause he always wants to get out and play when they're around.
But this morning he's all puffed up and sleeping all day. His stool seems ok, he's eaten but not sure if he's drank yet. He's got a vet appointment at 14:40. What can we do in the meantime? I'm blank and don't know what to do. It's a hot summer, so adding a heating source won't help at all. It shouldn't be too hot for them. We've had much worse summers and my budgies are doing well in this climate. Please help.

We're back from the vet...this one's an avian vet (finally found one) and it's evident that he's much more knowledgeable about birds than the one where I took Curacao.
He gave him 3 different medicines, one for a month and the other 2 (an antibiotic and another one) for 10 days. Stool is ok, but he's probably eating less so he's obviously pooping less and they hadn't realised.
Let's hope for the best.

Oh sorry skipped that bit by mistake.. The vet wasn't sure coz he said his symptoms (sleeping a lot, puffed up, not wanting to come out and play, not pooping a lot..) are very general symptoms and don't indicate anything. So he told us his best option was to treat with something quite general, that won't have side effects if he's taken them for nothing and treat the most common ilnesses at that age.
