If you have any concerns or complaints about this site, pertaining to its design, function, or users, please approach a moderator or an administrator of your choice immediately. We want to keep this a happy site for everyone.
1. Be kind and courteous to fellow users. We are all here to share our shared love of bird keeping - let's keep it a pleasant experience. Any disputes can be discussed with a moderator or administrator, and will hopefully come to a happy conclusion. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated on a two strikes only policy, for the protection of our users. Keep in mind that we have a large number of very different people on this website, ranging from young children to grandparents. Please be sure that you write appropriately.
2. Please file your threads under the appropriate headers It makes it much easier for other users to find your questions or valuable information. If you place a thread incorrectly, it will be moved for you. This is simple and easy for a moderator to do and you won't get in trouble for making mistakes, but it is simplest and easiest if you post under a subheading that makes the most sense for your thread. Officers on this site also have the right to move specific posts from threads and make a new topic in the event that conversation has strayed and important information on a different subject is discussed, so that the information can be found more easily in the future.
3. Do not plagiarize. This includes but is not limited to copying words, photos or videos from another site on to this one and claiming the media as your own if it is not. Do not say a photo of a bird shows an animal that you own if you do not. The media and the posts it involved will be immediately removed if plagiarism can be proven, and repeat offenders will be restricted or eventually banned from the site. This does not include photographs posted to depict examples. "This is a cherry headed conure" is a wildly different statement from "this is MY cherry headed conure."
In a similar vein, do not create a fake persona or take on someone else's identity on this forum - if proven or the cause of a complaint of identity theft, the users account will be immediately deleted. The user may return under a real name, but a second fake profile will result in a banned IP address and you will not be able to see the site any more.
