So whenever Shasta is sitting on my shoulder and I talk in his ear, he makes this sound that I can only describe as a dove type sound. It's like a fast cooing sound. Do any of your budgies make this noise? I don't think it's a bad sound cause he makes it only when I'm talking to him or whistling to him, and it sounds content. I'm just curious if it's something that anyone else has had experience with.

Budgies make such a variety of sounds. I have a male cockatiel that whistles and sings. My budgie and cockatiel sound more and more like each other. Sometimes I can't tell which is singing.

Hmmm I haven't heard any cooing, but it sounds pretty, Bree, and definitely like a happy, content sound.
