Hey Guys,
Sorry its been so long since i have been online. Life has been very bizy!
My little girl has just turned 4yrs old, my little boy will be 2yrs old next month and i am currently 22 weeks along exspecting our 3rd baby. We have also taken over the lease of one of my Father in Laws farms. We now run mostly young dairy cattle on our 300 acers. My husband still has his Contracting bissness (he has a Digger & big truck & trailer). So my kiddies and myself have been bizy working on the farm when my husband has contracting work to do. We shift cattle every day, fix water pipes, fix fences, ect. There is always work to do on the farm but we love it!!
It is also my husband and I's 8th wedding aniversery tomorrow. I can hardly beleive its been 8 years already! Time has flown by so quick!
As for my budgie flock, they have had a mild winter and currently most are just finishing a malt. I have started a bit late this year for breeding but i dont think my flock minds I have put 2 pairs into breeding cages just over 1 week ago and another 2 pairs into breeding cages today. So hopefuly we may have some eggs or even babies by Christmas!!
Some of you may have read a while ago that one of my Cocks, Harley, had his leg wripped off by a rat or stote climbing on the side of my aviary one night. Harley is doing incredibly well. I had him inside in a cage for about a month, he has addapted to one leg so well. I could tell he was getting board and missing flying around in the big aviary so i desided to put him back out in the aviary with the rest of my flock now that the weather is alot warming and keept a close eye on him. He loved it from the moment i let him out! He flew round and round, jumping and flying from branch to branch, saying hello to all his Cock mates on the way. He has now been on in the aviary for a few weeks now, very happy and getting around with know worries. The other Cocks seem to be treating him well. I will have to get a few pics of him out in the aviary with his mates
These are my current 4 breeding pairs
These are my cheeky kiddies on the beds they made in the lounge the other afternoon
