Thank you, Cindi. I join in the sentiment. I hope we can be a little bit more active in the coming year.

How is everyone's year beginning? Any goals set, or new traditions begun?

I wish I could say that I set goals. However, I don't do well with that. I am mostly looking forward to the days getting longer and huddling in my house against the very cold weather.

Ha Ha, I'm not good at it either. However, I have some weight I need to get off, so I am starting to implement that program. I don't have strong health, so I need to take my time and try to make slow progress. My doctor will NOT be pleased when he sees me next week, but as long as I am on the road back where I was I think it will be ok. What is your weather generally like? I live within 30 minutes of either the beach, or the mountains, so we get all kinds here. I do live next to a large river, so we get a lot of frost, dew, fog, and of course heat because we live in the San Diego area.

I live in upstate New York. The weather is very cold right now. My health isn't wonderful. I suffer from fatigue and arthritis. I've never been a high energy person, but it gets worse as I get older. I do work out . I swim 2 or 3 times a week and go to a pilates class once a week. Beyond that, I'm doing well to just get my daily tasks done. I have a routine I try to stick to, and that works reasonably well. Also, I try to give myself permission to just enjoy myself. I worked full time for many years. It's nice to be retired. I saved during my working years. I now live in a mobile home in a senior community. It's affordable and very pleasant. I live at the end of a dead end street, with woods behind my house.

Wow, Diana, sounds like you keep yourself fit and busy. Routines are a good thing! I like them, but I'm afraid if I box myself in too much I will rebel :-) Your home sounds lovely. I had a kidney/pancreas transplant in 2001, and have some side effects from the medications as well as leftover effects from having been diabetic for 26 years. I am very thankful for whatever time I have, and the ability to care for my family as well as being active in my church.
Our weather is currently rather crazy - 80+* during the day and down into the 30's at night. My poor plants aren't sure if its' spring or winter, and I'm afraid my desert tortoises are going to come out of hibernation way too early. Not much I can do to change it though ;-)
