I haven't tried it yet! I'll have to definitely see what my little birds think of it.

I tried the wheat grass since everyone else has success with it.... Bonnie and Clyde haven't even touched it D: but Lucy ate a few pieces

My little pot of wheatgrass is looking terrible. What are y'all doing to revive yours?

I've just been watering it from the bottom... That seems to be working

Mine is chewed down short - a good thing since they are actually eating it - but is no longer soft and is still green, but not as lovely bright green as it was.

Lucky you Mine won't touch it! I put it in Lucy's cage now. So she can try it

I have been thinking about how readily your (BB) birds took to broccoli. My theory is that the more birds you have together, the more likely there will be one who will try the new food. Then, the rest will follow. What do you think?

That's a reasonable theory to me, Diana. It could also be that when there are many birds, they are in more competition for the really good stuff, and don't want to be left out, so they dive in without hesitation.

Pammy, I would buy two wheatgrass plants, and switch them out as they become ratty looking. You can put the 'resting' one on a window sill in the sun and water it lightly but regularly to encourage it to revive.

Great idea, Sarah. Thanks! I will have to check my local Petco. I bought the one I have in OKC. The poor thing really looks rough, but my boys sure have enjoyed it. I will take it out tomorrow morning and get it reviving in the windowsill.
