Is anyone familiar with the Hagen Vision bird cages. I have been searching for the perfect cage for Sweetie Pie and I ordered the Vision M11 online. After I ordered it, the size is 16" deep, 25" long and 21" high, I read somewhere that the measurements are for the base and the measurement of the actual cage can be up to 3 inches less. I found that distressing, and false advertising. Is anyone familiar with these cages?

I've been told several times on here (and by the bird store where I got my cockatiel) AND in books that the minimum size for a cockatiel is 18x18x32. And I believe that's the exact dimensions of her cage. But she has a playtop cage and it's on a stand so in total it takes up much more height than 32 inches lol. Where did you order your cage from?

The 18x18x32 size is also for a bird who gets loads of outside cage time. Do you have the link to the cage you ordered?

I think that's much too small for a cockatiel. At least that's what I THINK but I'm no expert

To me it seems too small, too. But then I am accustomed to looking at my flight cage, so my ideal might be skewed.

It looks like it is smaller than advertised. The users who review it on amazon say that it is not really big enough for a parakeet, but its okay for a finch. I'm afraid a tiel would barely be able to move. I would cancel your order post haste. I can find you a large beautiful standing cage for not much more than this price, which I find totally unreasonable for what you are getting.

Diana, that's a beautiful cage mine is only 18x18 and looking at it next to my parakeets' flight cage I feel kinda bad that it is so small. It was $220 though :/ I would love to upgrade for Lucy but considering the price of her cage, I don't think it's a good idea for me. She's happy and I always let her out anyway

Lisa, I think everyone agrees that if your bird has lots of time outside of her cage, like Lucy does, a huge cage is not necessary. Don't feel bad.

I think the size of your cage is perfect considering Lucy is out a lot of the time. I really hope to have Pammy's flight cage one day though but in white for Pepper and Bubbles if they still get along by then haha.

I think Pammy's cage is about the sane size as what I have for B & C. Pammy, if you ever get a chance can you post the whole setup?

Sure! I need to do that. I'll go measure it right now, though. This is cage area, not including the wheels and shelf underneath --
My cage is 37" wide 23" deep 48" tall (plus the 12" for wheels & shelf)
It's the Prevue Hendryx F050 extra large, and it sadly does not come in white. I wanted white, but wanted the size even more. The super dark gray has ended up working just fine. It looks nice. The next smaller one, the F040, does come in white.
