Lucky is now eating pellets. Still mixing in a few seeds, but will stop that soon. Now to get her to eat vegges. She did pick at carrots so tr that tomorrow again.

Awesome, Santa! Pammy and I have tried baby food for a beginner with veggies. Look for organic and mix in with seeds. My birds officially like sweet potatoes  |

Yay! Keep us posted about fresh fruit. You don't have to stop feeding a splash of seeds if you don't want to. I still give my birds seed so long as they are not over weight.

She did eat a little seed covered carrots today. Strawberries tomorrow, we will see.

Yeah, you definitely don't have to cut seeds out altogether. They love them, and like Sarah said, as long as they aren't fat.... My boys are not fat at all, so I sprinkle some seeds into their play gym thingie on top of their cage, and let them go up there and have a little fun with snacks. Now if only I could say that I'm not fat at all.... But that would be a lie, and I know how you feel about lying and what that could do to my standing on the Nice List.... This would be a very dangerous time of year to compromise my level of honesty. |

My boys loved strawberries in the beginning, and then they seemed to tire of them. Once strawberries come in again next summer, I plan to reintroduce them.

Try broccoli my female budgie Jabo loves it and so did my previous first male budgie Jager. My new male colbat is being fussy but he is only 4 1/2 months
