Love them! I can't wait until my budgies will sit calmly on my finger or shoulder!

Nicely done!
So from the day you select a pair and put them into the breeding cages, to the day you release the parents from duty and put them back into the main aviary, how long would you say they live in the breeding cage? I'm not planning to breed, I'm just curious.
Best wishes for beautiful eggs from very beautiful pairs!

are you going to let the parents rest after their clutches? i would suggest getting a mineral block and a salt spool or is that wat the bell is?

Yes they will only breed one Clutch a year, maybe two depending on how many pairs i have next season to breed. They will have 3-4 months between clutches if i were to breed a pair twice. And they will be let back out into the aviary Yes the have a cuttle bone and a multi mineral bell in each cage. I also have a lot of cuttle bones & mineral bells spread around the aviary too

You have a splendid set-up with the breeding cages and aviary. I especially like the sliding doors on your next boxes so you can check on the occupants and take photos easily

Yes i had the nest boxes made with sliding doors to the side, not up as they normaly come. When i make a few more breeding cages i will be mounting another below this one and another above. The top one will be close to the roof of the aviary then and if the sliding doors to the nest box were slide up ones i wouldnt be able to open them
