I got a Lix-it bottle for Emma.
I have filled it twice, and both times all the water leaked out. It was quite a mess, and twice! What am I doing wrong?
I have one for Piper and Snowy, and it works fine.

Diana, mine did this once, too. It scared me, because had I not noticed it, my boys could have been without water. What I do now is wash and refill the bottle, and screw on the lid, and then upend it and fiddle with the tiny red ball until I'm sure there is both a good vacuum seal and that a little drop of water does indeed come out when pressed. Once I'm sure it's good, I hang it back up on the cage. I've had no further problems with it. Good luck!

I think I may have a defective bottle. I tried everything you suggested, and it still leaks!
As you said, at least I noticed and Emma wasn't thirsty.

Perhaps you should contact them and see if they will ship you a new one. Most companies will do that if your product was defective out of the packet.

Yes, especially since you have the other one for Piper and Snowy and you know it works properly.
