I bought a parakeet last month and its still really scared of me, although I'm trying to work with him but today I decided to get him a friend. This parakeet is so much bigger than my Evo! Evo is still a baby, not sure how old exactly but he is really small and my new parakeet is blue and actually really big. The pet store lady said to give him about a week to let him adjust but when I got him, I noticed he has a black band around his leg. I think next week when I try to get close to him, I'll see what it says. I have no idea what it means! I'll show a photo to everyone. My baby green parakeet isn't really sure what to think of the new parakeet yet. He went up to him a few times and pecked at his head, which I found kind of weird but cute, ha. They are now sitting next to each other on the perch. :-)

Cool bird man! Are they both autrailian budgies? Or both english budgies? Or each of the kind?

An English budgie is much much larger than an American budgie---ultimately they are the same species just different ancestors and areas they were bred. I'm not sure what your's are, but I would guess American budgies.
