When I got my parakeet from the pet store a few days ago, the clerk cut my parakeets wings and I feel really bad that they did that to him and I was curious how long it took for the wings to grow back?

I got my budgies in early September. Piper was so severely clipped that he looked like he had a little short vest on instead of wings. I would say his wings are 90% back to normal at this point.

That depends on the bird's age. If his wings were clipped during or immediately after a molt, it may take as much as six months. If the bird has not had its first molt, new feather growth might be seen in as little as a few weeks.

I clipped my boys myself in September, but not a whole lot because they could still fly just fine. Within two months, their flights were completely grown back in.
