Hello. I thought Willow was molting about a month ago when I'd see a few feathers here and there. Today when I came home there were tons of tiny little fluff feathers on the floor. She has been a very angry bird lately. Lots of biting and screeching.lots of shredding of her kabob and newspapers too. Not too aggressive with Luna, just doesn't want me near her. My conclusion is that these are typical molting behaviors and I wanted to get your confirmation. Attached is a picture if the little feathers that are everywhere. Attachments:

My bird is molting, i think as well. The feathers are not as large as yours are, and there isn't a lot at the bottom of the cage. He seems to be quite itchy though. is this normal?

Aww. Sounds like she is having a miserable time poor thing. Is it her first? First molts are particularly nasty and mood altering. To give your bird some comfort, offer her a bath or a spraying every day or so. If you have a humidifier, setting it up near the cage is a good idea too. Higher humidity and moisture will ease the aches and the itches and help the process to move along faster
