Earlier today during bath time I noticed that Poe had a small crack/ sore on the bottom portion of his beak with some dried blood... my normal Vet wasn't in nor was any avian vet on staff at all today. I called around my area and finally got in contact with one on the other side of the state.... after explaining what I saw she stated that it isnt as bad as it looks, and would be more stressful for Poe to make a 3 hour car ride.... but he needs to go to the vets immediately on monday and be separated from the flock until further notice.
I'm really scared, even though over the phone the avian vet said he would be fine until monday im still scared. He's being his normal self.... but still....
Im not really looking for any answers from anyone on here... im just scared and need to vent my feelings.......I don't want to lose my bird... I love him a lot.... and Puck's freaking out as well cause she doesn't understand why her best friend is locked in his own cage.... And mike's not here to be a rational mind.

Hi Jasmine, Sorry to hear of your little poe's injury. Keep an eye on him over the weekend and see if he is drinking and eating ok, if he is, then it probably looks worse than it is, but worrying nonetheless as a caring bird owner. Hope all goes well on monday.

Hi Jasmine!
I don't have a picture to see what it looks like, but I am feeling confident that if he is still acting normal and eating and drinking, it should be a problem easily fixed. Two more days till the vet!

yeah he's still himself, still eating and singing, normal poops....I don't think I could get a picture of it if i could with how fast he moves about.... the only reason i say it in the first place was cause he was dripping wet from head to tail.

Wow apparently my update never posted!
So on monday I took him to the Vet and she took a look at him. It was just a small scrape in a weird spot. It had healed over on it's own and there was no sign of infection so he was safe to go home and return to the flock. He also got weighed and a normal check up since he was there... he is the picture of health. And extremely handsome as well, he had all the other vets and Receptionists gushing over him and telling him how "Handsome" he was.
So all is well now!
