Whenever I let my boys out of their cage, do they go to their playpen on top of their cage? Nope! they love Sweetie Pies cage. It opens at the top and they perch on the rope perch on top of her cage. Before I know it they are inside of the cage as happy as can be. That is where they will stay until it is time for sweetie to go home to her own cage. I don't understand the fascination. This weekend I moved the boys around the corner into another room, making room for the Xmas tree. They still flew into the living room to perch in Sweetie's cage when they we're let out.

Emma loves to be on top of the budgies' cage! She went in there about ten days ago and pretended she was a budgie. You can see them on my sidebar (on the left). I had to separate them, tho, because I needed to focus on taming Emma one-on-one.

I was so lucky to get that picture! It was a one-time pose. Emma looks like she's trying out being a budgie.

It's is a happy thread of posts, ladies. It's so adorable that your cockatiels and budgies want to go be friends with each other. Diana, your profile pic is definitely a gem of a picture. I love it and smile every time I see it. I'm thinking you need to get it printed and put it in a frame for your home. Wouldn't your brother and daughter get a kick out of that! I'm imagining them rolling their eyes at one another.

My brother loves my birds. He is always suggesting I take videos of them to post on Youtube.

That's so sweet. My college daughter loves my birds. She just can't get enough of them when she is here. In fact, I considered getting her a budgie or two for Christmas, but she 1) has a cat, and 2) comes home for the weekend very frequently, which would leave her bird (birds) alone too often. Not good even without a cat.
