I'm so appreciative that u can't wait to get home from long day at work and know as soon as I walk in the door kyba's already running back n forth on his perch waiting for me to open the cage so he can sit on my shoulder before bed. I don't care how bad work was how tired I am its so OH SO refreshing n therapidic seeing his excitement when he sees me n how fast he climbs out to get on my hand. It's hard to change out my uniform he won't let me put him down if I do he jumps back on to me. LOL Kylie's to when she comes out to join us. I love both of them the same amount but my bond with Kyba is a particularly rare special one n Kylie's is with him.

I love that feeling! My guinea pigs used to be like that. Shasta is more indifferent. Kinda like 'You dare leave me for half the day? See if I pay any attention to you now!'

that's what Im talking about! this morning I open the cage and they both decided to stay in so I sit down watch some tv and after my shower they are both on the tv stand perched up. I sit down and guess who comes running to join me Kyba. about 9:30 I go get dressed for work and he see's me in the door way to my room and runs to me and starts trying to climb my leg, he even tries to fly up to me while Im tucking in my shirt he makes it about waist high but we both miss. I hold my hand about knee level and he flies right up on to my hand. I walk out and there's Kylie waiting at the edge of the coffee table for me to pick her up. I went from being tired and not wanting to go to work to feeling Great after they wanted just a little more time with me before I left. That was awesome

Lol! Shasta ignores me in the mornings. I think he has the same attitude as when I get home. 'You dare sleep while I'm in the room?!'

both mine especially Kyba want so much of my attention play time tv watching time with me they know my schedule now its been 2 years now they are the same each day in the morning and at night. I don't put them back in their cage unless I got to go to work or running around on days off. but if Kyba wants to play before I do either I usually end up on all fours chasing him around to get him on my hand for 5 10 minutes. once he's on he goes right in usually LOL

Lol, they're like kids. Know when it's bedtime, so they scatter.

actually at night both of mine go back into the cage by themselves even when they are perched on me on the couch unless Kyba wants to sleep on my shoulder until the morning I let him if its my day off the next day. they usually go on their own when they are ready to go sleep

I accidentally left my cage door open one night, and Shasta usually goes and plays when it's left open, but this one time, he came and snuggled into my hair. He was cold, and I was the perfect warm thing to snuggle up with. I woke up in the morning with him fast asleep in the crook of where my neck and shoulder meet.

I would cuddle my birds at night every night if I could. Sadly, its just not safe. If you roll over in your sleep, they could be crushed before they have the chance to squeak or bite. When Pirate was a baby, I had to let him doze off on my pillow and get super dreamy and sleepy so that I could scoop him into his cage without him getting very upset, but if I could have I would have let him stay all night

Yeah, I was extremely lucky that I didn't roll that night. I usually roll all over the place, but I didn't roll this time, and woke up and he was happy as a clam.

Thats wonderful How such little birds can lift ones spirits, they obviously love you very much ! Thank you but the love goes both ways. That's is I've of his favorite spits to nestle is below my chin or lay down and lean up against my neck if in on my side. In just lucky I don't NOT roll around. If u do wake up I immediately find where he is. I also leave the cage open in case he wakes up n wants to go in he can. But he will stay until its breakfast time for him before he leaves. I love it that he does it and does it on his own. The fact that he comes to me and udo not have to get him myself is an awesome feeling.

You are very lucky! There is also apparently a wonderful quality in you that makes them love you so much.
