Making out?

Sometimes I walk in the room, and catch the 4 birds, in two making out with each other except not at the same time. Is this normal? are they making out?? or attacking each other, which seems very less likely since the tongue is out at most times. 

I'll post a picture of them "making out" when I catch the moment.
