1. Ask around and find someone who has a budgie who likes veggies.
2. Borrow the bird and put him in your birds' cage.
3. Put a plate of veggies in the bottom of your cage
4. The other budgie will start eating the veggies, your bird will get jealous, and will start eating them too.

Sarah once said to sprinkle seeds on the veggies to start and get them to taste. It worked for me and our budgies only eat veggies ( love fresh basil and strawberries)and pellets in the AM then allow some seeds on the afternoon.

Kringle & Clausy have given up eating their standard babyfood veggies. The problem is, that Noel and December weren't eating, and to ensure that they didn't starve, I put seeds into the cage full time. Of course this means that the boys have full time access to gorging on seeds. I have seen both girls eating from the pellet dishes quite a bit, though, so I am going to get those seeds outta there and go back to seeds being a handfed treat. Nobody has cared about eating seeds from hands when they have full access to seeds in the cage.
Next, I am going to get Mistletoe eating fruits and veggies and hopefully everybudgie will want in on the "special food" Mistletoe is eating. Wish me luck!
