I walked back into my bedroom after stepping out to the restroom, only to find the empty bag of popcorn I had set down on my bed shaking. What did I find in there, but my precocious and precious teenage cockatiel? Sadly, I hadn't left him any behind But! He did have an unreasonably good time chewing his way out of the bag! This is why birdies should be allowed some toys just to destroy!

Great pictures. It also made me think this is why you don't leave our featured friends out when we aren't home to keep an eye out for there safety.

His face is priceless! What kind of popcorn is that if I may ask? I'm a bit of a butter popcorn eater but could always... Try to like a different kind

Its a 100 calorie pack - its kind of a mini bag. Its very lightly buttered and salted. I didn't make this for Pirate, or plan on letting him play with the bag lol. However it is so light that I can justify being bad and letting Pirate have one or two pieces every once in a blue moon. It's not recommended, but sometimes we have to spoil our little ones, don't we?
If you want to give your birds popcorn as their once a month treat, then you should get the Orville Redenbacher jars of kernels at the store. You prepare them in a tiny bit of canola oil, which is a much healthier fat. There isn't much left on the popped corn anyway. You can give the birds a bit, and then butter and salt the remainder for yourself.
