I have been using my LG G2 phone. lol
I've noticed that it works quite well (video) about 5 inches away.

I am trying to figure out how to upload a short video from my PC to the forum. It is a .mv format. Does your (smart?) phone just upload to YouTube and you choose the clip? thanks

Yes, there is an app if you do not have it. You can use photobucket or youtube to upload the video, I think with both you need an account.
