We never got to that I was starting to see some results but christmas holidays got in the way and then the first clutch in january (which didn't work), then this second one... So, nope, Leelo's mood is worse everyday and Poki is getting a little used to my hands again, he let me handle the babies without flying away, and sometimes he hops on my finger when I go pick him up if he wanders too far from the cage, which is very good

Hi Perla! I am sorry to hear that you couldn't get a cage like you'd hoped. Have you ever considered building one? I know this sounds super daunting, and maybe you've no idea how to build things, but there are lots of helpful videos and instructions on the internet for making bird cages from raw materials that cost a lot less than a retail cage. You would need to find some screening material that is safe for them though. I don't know if that would be difficult in Mexico, I know its not the easiest here. In the states we seem to put so many chemical sealants on metals that the only safe thing is untreated stainless steel mesh.
Anyway, I just thought I'd bring that up as one possible solution!

Thank you Sarah! It's actually a very good idea, it has crossed my mind a couple of times, i'm not very good at it but i love building things haha, the thing is, once again, the space unless i build a cage the same size to put on top of the one i have, like i've been suggested before.

Perla,
Could you either (a) hang your cages from those big hooks like you use on an outdoor wall plants or (b)put up a "floating" shelf to put your cage(s) on? That way, the cage(s) would not have to sit on a stand or on a piece of furniture.

That would be a very very good solution! But the owners of the apartment stated that they don't want any changes on the place that included nails on the walls ( kind of ridiculous, I know :/ ) I suppose that means hooks are not allowed either. I am in a huge dilema I don't want to say goodbye to any of my babies, but it's going to be hard finding a way to keep them all here...

Okay, how about an adjustable, self-standing shelving unit?

Oh my, I think that's the answer! haha I've been telling my roomate that we need one of those (to put some other stuff there) I don't think she's going to refuse to buy one now if I tell her we can keep all the babies if we get one! She loves my birds as if they were hers and we share all the house expenses so, I kind of need her "approval" xD I'm gonna talk to her about it this evening

You can probably buy inexpensive shelving easily from a building or home supply store. There are simple, unattractive, grey shelving that usually goes in a garage or basement or nicer, wooden shelving. Even a bookcase from IKEA (do you have those?) but particleboard is too heavy to carry on a bus.

I've been looking for them online in local stores I think I've found a couple of nice options, like those gray, ugly ones you said xD I have to go and check them out this week, I have to figure out if I can carry them by foot or in the bus haha

I recorded a little something for you guys! I've been trying to take a nice photo of the babies since yesterday but they move too much haha so I decided to record a little video to show you how beautiful and big they are!

They are beautiful - I like their lutino (?) coloring. I enjoyed watching them preen each other and they are so friendly! Poor baby #3 was trying so hard to get away when #2 sat on his/her little tail feathers. lol.
I hope you can enlist a friend to help you get the shelving home by bus.
