You must be sooooo ready! He looks very similar to my darling Mistletoe. What is Leo's hatch day?

I am so excited but I'm also SO nervous. I hope my forum buddies on here can help me ease my nerves. Leo is very well behaved and much like my Lucy. I'm just so nervous she won't love me anymore. Or our bond will break. I'm so nervous my two birds will be caught up in themselves and that in nervous they will try to breed!

He is such a sweet baby. I am sorry you are nervous. I am too inexperienced to give too much advise. All I can say is my two live in a cage together and remain tame and want my attention. This probably doesn't help, but worst case scenario you would need to make room for two cages in your room. But I am betting it will be fine, particularly since you are keeping them separate while you get to know each other, right?

Roxhum that does help me a little. Knowing they live together but still want your attention

Hopefully all will go well, like it is between Sweetie & Pearl, and like it is here with Mistletoe living with the budgies, but wanting to be with people (particularly me) anytime, anywhere. Like Roxie said, IF Lucy starts to prefer Leo to you, you can always squeeze a second cage into your room. Remember that cages can stack, so the second cage wouldn't have to take up much real estate.

Pammy, because Lucy has a play top cage, I do not think that I can stack them. The play top doesn't come off! I do not have a plan B really... I'm so nervous! Am I making a bad decision by getting him? I do LOVE Lucy. She's perfect to me. I just think it will be so much fun to have another so they can sing and interact. Also so when I am busy, I don't have to feel so terrible about not being able to spend some time with her. Like when I go to school all day, then go to work till 11 pm. Also, my boyfriend has a different spring break than I do so i will be going to visit him for 2 nights. If I weren't getting Leo, Lucy would have absolutely no interaction. My sister does go in my room when I'm not home and she says she tries to play with her. My dad does go in when he gets home from work to say hi to her, and my mom goes in to open/close the blinds or to turn the heater on/off. So she does see people but she doesn't get to be let out unless I am home. If she has Leo, she will not feel so lonely. Am i right?

I think you are right. It's not good for a social bird to be alone so much of the time. Stop worrying, and just let yourself be excited and happy about getting little Leo.

I think you are doing the kindest thing for Lucy, because you love her. Are Bonnie and Clyde in the same room?

B & C are in the living room downstairs. They get a lot of attention from anyone down there, especially my dad when he comes home from work. They're good little things!

I think it's sweet that your dad likes to give your birds attention when he comes home from work.

I know I get my animal lover trait from his side of the family. Not that my mom's side doesn't love them - they do, just no where near as much. My grandma loves getting videos of miss Lucy doing her crazy things hehe I'm so excited to see the two of them interact
