Hey all.... haven't been here for a long time Shows, class work, and all that Jazz. I just wanted to say that we lost Tyne a few days ago. She was an old girl and passed away in her sleep. She's in a better place tho, she had been sick for a while and constant vet visits were not helping her in the end. I miss her tho, she may have hated everyone but she was a good and miss understood bird.

So sorry for your loss =[ no matter how old or suffering they are, we still miss them when they're gone.

She will always be missed and I loved her a lot...but It's better tho, she doesn't have to deal with vet visits and suffering now....which is the one thing that makes me okay with her passing.

I'm sorry, Jasmine. I know how much you love your girl. I'm glad you're doing okay with her passing, and looking at the positive aspects. Although for a sad reason, it's so good to hear from you. Check back in soon, okay?

Thank you all.
The rest of the flock seams to be doing okay. Because her heath was failing the others started to pick on her and harass her through out normal daily activities, so Mike and I had made the decision to move her back into her own smaller cage so she could move around more easily and not worry about the others in her space. The cages were next to each other because she wasn't contagious... but just her body was just failing.
So she hadn't lived with the flock for around two months... Puck, Poe, and Kiwi all seam okay with her passing, which makes it easier on us to not have to figure out how exactly to handle mourning birds.

I'm glad it worked out that Puck, Poe & Kiwi don't have to suffer mourning.

I don't mean to rush things or be unfeeling about Tyne, but are you and Mike considering adding another little female to the family, to rebalance your flock?

No it's okay Pammy. We have talked about it cause i do like a balanced flock, but since it is the last few days of our break we don't want to get a little girl and then not have enough time before we go back to classes/ rehearsals. When we do get another little girl it will be during our april/ spring break or at the beginning of summer so we have enough time to spend with her and make her well adjusted. The other thing is the three we have right now are actually doing okay with each other and dont seam to be mourning Tynes passing... so thats also helping us not wanting to rush things by getting a new girl.

You are very smart. I'll look forward to that special time with you. Oh, Jasmine, before you get super busy again, you may want to get pics of your budgies into Perla's thread because she is going to make a new banner and you don't want to be left out.
