I put both of them in their cages and unlike last night Kylie is the one going all over the front trying to lift the doors up and get out ASAP I know its going to take awhile for her to get use to it. this is normal behavior when you first separate them up like this especially being they have been together for over 2 years. also I looked closer at her cere and it is brown and a little crusty not like the last time where it looked like a piece of bark but it is brown I think she maybe going in to breeding condition a little why she is acting like this because Kyba does not want to mate. gotta to be strong got to be strong

Yep, I believe that's the key, Kenny -- you gotta be strong. I know you can do it!

Well last night I let them out to play for awhile and he let her go inside the cage and was scared ti try and go in. He just sat on too of the cage. At first they both were on top just fine but then she went down and Kyba kept turning his head to like saying dad get her out. After 5 mi uses I set them both in their own cages put them to bed.

YEEEEHHHHHHAAAAWWWW!!!!!!!! I've solved Kylie's problem, well actually it was Sarah who asked if she was in breeding condition and she was starting to get in to condition. I checked her cere just now and its not crusty its her normal soft pinkish color with just a hint of brown still. her mood has changed COMPLETELY, and neither one can get to each other first thing in the morning when I let them out their own cages. Thanks everybody for all the help and concerns

Lol today kyba is wanting so much attention from me I'm finding it harder n harder to set either one of them down. I'm letting them fly off instead of setting them down. Kylie np she usually hang around for 5 10 minutes but oh no not kyba he has to nap on my arm lol. How does any body else deal with a clingy favor bird lol

I find the place I spend the most time (in my case it's my computer desk at home) and I put a playground up next to me, then filled the bottom with some treats for Shasta. He went straight to it and he chooses to sit there now, occasionally coming over to me to be picked up and loved on.
