I have to say, I do believe our birds read our email messages!
I wrote to a friend recently about being discouraged about Emma and thinking about rehoming her, because I really feel she doesn't like me.
This morning, I was sitting in my chair and she flew over and sat on top of my computer monitor. I held out my arm and then she was sitting on my hand and eating sunflower seeds! Not my finger, mind. But, definitely my hand. Meanwhile Silver was sitting on my shoulder.

Aww, that's so sweet. I understand those feelings. There are times I am so frustrated because Mistletoe won't settle down and stop flock calling to me, and then later he is snuggled into my neck under my hair, grinding his beak and acting as though just being with me is pure heaven. My heart melts.
I'm happy you could have a loving moment with your Emma-girl.

I don't think it's that she dislikes you! You shouldn't take it personally. It's just her personality. Some birds love human interaction and some hate it. She's somewhere in between. Perhaps as she observe Silver more she will come out of her shell

Thank you for the encouragement. It's hard not to take it personally!

Yes, Luvs. Everyone enjoys holding Mistletoe. He will take the others when I'm not available, but as soon as he is anywhere close to me, he literally jumps off of the other person and clumsily flies, flutters, flaps his way to his mama. He definitely considers me his person.
