Hey so as most of you know I have one pair, Kiwi and Tweety and then my little girl Nova! We'll Kiwi when ever he is outside the cage he goes over to nova and leaves tweety alone. He seems to show more affection towards nova. Is this healthy? I don't really know what to do any advice would be greatly thanked!

It means that Nova is giving him more attention than your other. I think it's pretty normal.

He may be curious about her because she is new. Or, he may just like her better. Birds can be unpredictable in their preferences. Sometimes they don't want the mate their human selects for them.

My Kringle has chosen December as his mate, but he will also spend time flirting with Noel. Being that in the budgie world, females are dominant, I am very curious to see how the final pairing goes down once my girls reach maturity and realize it's up to them to decide, and not Kringle.

But, the only thing in worried about is Tweety, she seems kinda sad and left out! She never wants to be around the other 2 when they are together

Oh, poor Tweety! I guess the answer might be another male budgie, so each female can have a friend.

Depending on where you live, there always are budgies listed on Craigs List. I was just browsing when I thought we need to balance out our "flock". Would 2 more females make it worse? Two males would only invite breeding.
How old are your budgies? Does anyone have a budgie older than 7? 10?

I would definitely not suggest that Fayth get two more females. That would unbalance her flock even more and likely cause fighting among the girls for the sole male.
It's been my experience that sometimes a bird is simply not terribly social and prefers to be alone part of the time. I have a balanced flock of two male and two female budgies. Rather than pairing up into two couples, Kringle enjoys the company of both females, and Clausy likes time to himself. I tend to worry that he's lonely, but the truth is that he's right there with the others, and if he chooses to not always hang out with them, that's his doing.
Similarly, some people will approach a full table at a potluck, a Weight Watchers meeting, or other gathering, while someone else may pick out a seat where no one else is yet sitting. Some people want to be constantly surrounded by lots of friends, while others prefer one or two very special friends, or even enjoy simply spending time with me, myself and I.

However, it seems Tweety was more social before Kiwi entered the picture. Or, is it possible Tweety is more of a loner, but Kiwi wouldn't give her any space until Nova came? If Tweety used to enjoy spending time with Kiwi, then I'd be inclined to think she's not a loner, but is lonely.
