Hi guys,
Curacao has been really unwell lately (very lose stool, on Wednesday he started losing control when fying in their room and got puffy.) Took him to the vet yesterday and he gave him antibiotics (twice daily) and vitamins (every 4 hours). But I do feel I'm making a mess giving him the meds straight into his mouth. I asked the vet to show me how, and well even the vet had a hard time as Cu kept refusing to take it and basically spat out all that went in. I'm not sure how much of the meds he's actually taking and his feathers are ending up covered in meds. I also tried to look for tips and did try to follow them but he got soaked just the same.
How did you manage to give meds when you needed to? I do prefer giving them to him orally rather than in the water coz when I had gave him meds in water he reduced his drink income significantly so he was barely taking any meds.
As always, thanks for all your help!

I have no experience with giving meds to birds. However, with my cats it has always been extremely difficult. All I can do is sympathize :-(.

I grabbed Luna with a towel, make sure you do not squeeze hard enough. then I opened her beak with the syringe while squirting the meds in her mouth. sometimes I am not sure if it went in at all lol. just the luck of the draw i suppose

Yeah, he just keeps trying to escape and won't be still. I do hope he's taking some of it at least so that he'll get better. Thanks just the same Diana. It's nice to know there's support
