I had the babies and Poki out around an hour ago, and then my roommate's sister arrived, she has keys of our apartment so she opened the door and the oldest baby flew out to the door and my roommate tried to catch him but all that she catched was his tail feathers, he flew to the rooftop of our front neightbors house and he stayed there for like 5 minutes, we were trying to climb to the top but there was no way to do it, so I came up with the idea of bringing Leelo (in her cage) out, so he could see her and, well maybe that would help bringing him down to us. I held the cage as high as my arms could stretch and after like 10 seconds he flew to the cage, I took him and put him inside the cage and went back inside my apartment... In my way in, I took the tail feathers that had been ripped off, and there was blood on them :/ I quickly took the baby out of the cage and checked his tail and there was a little blood. I put him on my shoulder while I got some moist cotton and he left a big big drop of blood where he was standing, I think it's not neccesary to say that I was freaking out like crazy... I wipped his tail with the cotton and more blood came out, I wasn't able to see the wound, I took some ointment (that once helped me save a baby budgie's life) it's called Vitacilina, the only components are neomycin and retinol (these are not bad for him, right?). I got him wrapped in a clean cloth on my lap to keep him warm. Is there anything else I could do? I'm pretty sure he is in big pain right now :/ he's asleep, I'm very very worried guys!

Thank you Diana, I'm very very worried he's just a baby! I would never forgive myself if he doesn't get better, I want to do everything I can but sadly, once again, a vet visit is not an option right now :/

I am so sorry that I didn't get this message earlier!! In future, you should put flour on bleeding wounds in order to help them clot.
I am so glad that you got the baby back though! best of luck!

He looks good today, thanks guys, i think his breathing is a little heavy, but just a little, he has been eating well and i saw him drinking water this morning, which is a good sign, right? He didnt want to go to sleep last night, i had to put him inside a box because his siblings were bullying him i put a uhm oh gosh i dont know whats it called in english, in spanish it's "rejilla" and well i put that thing on top of the open box so he couldnt escape, i left a piece of cloth, food and water. He is with me right now, he seems very curious about muy phone's screen haha

I think I remember reading that budgies may bully one that is injured or sick.

Yes, when Dakota hurt her leg, Tweets was being an extra bully to her, that is why I had to catch her and put her in another cage.

Oh how terrible. It happened to me wen I had finches ( my first pet) they got out in my room and my dad grabbed them and pulled out both of their tails and they were very mad at him but they we about to moult and they grew back quite fast. Sounds like u pulled a blood feather (we were lucky and just missed one) try the flour idea someone said above sounds like it will work

The baby has been good so far, he eats and drinks normally and is as playful and active as ever his tail looks still all weird but well, that until his feathers grow back I guess... But it doesn't seem to hurt anymore, or at least not as much as 3 days ago. He's been with me when I'm home, I'm happy he isn't mad at me or my roommate for what happened.
