I dont plan to take Egg No.1 out. It is furtile but maybe the baby died before hatching. I have had this happen the odd time or two in the past.

So utterly darling! It amazes me how a bird two days older than another can be so much bigger. Wow!

I removed egg No.1 from the nest box and opened it. The baby had almost fully grown but had died before it was ready to hatch

I also removed egg No.4 from the nest. The baby was not quite fully growen but had died befor it was ready to hatch. Egg No. 1 & 4 must have gotten cold near the end and babies had died? Im not too sure.

With just three babes in the nest, there shouldn't be a problem with the parents being able to feed them all, should there?
