I actually think I'm ok. I mean I do miss him so so much, not going downstairs to check up on him and not having him near me while working on my thesis and not being able to hold him and see him enjoy the head scratches. But towards the end he was so so so weak that it broke my heart seeing him as he was. He would be out of breath going from one side of his small cage to the other but I couldn't stop him from doing it. Sometimes he'd have to stop half way before continuing (I think the cage is about 30cm long). It was nice having him and he was so loved by all the birds. But in the end he was suffering too much so it's better like this.
Thanks a lot for all your help and support!

I'm sorry to hear about your little guy. He held on for so long. He must have really loved those head scratches and cuddles from you. It's so hard to see our beloved pets struggling with day-to-day activities.
Hugs, Cherry

So glad you are at peace with Cu's passing, Kara. How are your other babies doing?

Thanks for all your encouragements!! The others haven't seen him since I separated them months ago when he got sick (except for that one incident when he came out of my pocket and they all came to say hi - littlefeathers.freeforums.net/thread/972/kermit-simply-friendliest-bird) and he wouldn't call them or anything. So they went through the continuous searching and calling process while he was still alive not now. They're ok though. Always eating more veg and becoming naughtier in their room - everything is a toy for them, even the walls, windows or pegs that hold their toys in place.
